Cartoon Network’s summer programs bring adventure and animation to life for kids at Atlantis, Paradise Island

CARTOON NETWORK TRANSFORMS ATLANTIS, PARADISE ISLAND INTO THE LAND OF Ooo THIS SUMMER

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Thought Cartoon Network’s poolside dive-in theater at Atlantis, Paradise Island was fun last year? Just wait until you see what’s in store for kids this summer!

From now through August 11, 2013, Atlantis vacations will be filled with excitement as Cartoon Network brings an epic obstacle course, an awesome star-studded concert, nighttime beach screenings, gaming opportunities, crafts, red carpet premieres, and so much more!

The waters of Atlantis were transformed into Adventure Time's Land of Ooo when Cartoon Network took over the Paradise Lagoon renaming it the CARTOON NETWORK LAGOON earlier this month.

Currently in its fifth season, Adventure Time’s unlikely heroes Finn and Jake are buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants like Ice King, Princess Bubblegum and Beemo!

At the CARTOON NETWORK™ LAGOON, the courageous characters are waist-deep in a watery wonderland on the Aflex Technology 9,000-square-foot obstacle course that features a 16-foot Finn and Jake, three 10-foot Action Towers, a 12-foot long Beemo (Finn and Jake's living video game console and friend) launch pad and a 60-foot long Lady Rainicorn (Princess Bubblegum’s rainbow-unicorn best friend and companion) slide.

Will kids have the guts and the goggles to freestyle through a fleet of full-grown floaties or take a swing with Princess Bubblegum and Ice King?  Absolutely, as guests can seize the day and become heroes when they conquer the course filled slides, swings, trampolines and more.

Cartoon Network nighttime screenings on the beach give parents and kids something fun to do when the sun goes down and an opportunity to view Cartoon Network’s top-rated shows. Games, free giveaways, lots of laughs and more are to be expected with Cartoon Network in the mix.

Atlantis Kids Adventure (AKA), the coolest club in the Caribbean, gets even cooler with Cartoon Network’s takeover! The Cartoon Network Camp at AKA will give kids full access to arts and crafts, photos, gaming, screenings and the first-ever life size Adventure Time board game where kids are their own pawn.  In addition to all the activities at AKA, kids will be given the chance to check out never-before-seen shows from Cartoon Network.  Grab a bag of popcorn and hunker down in the Atlantis Theater for Cartoon Network’s premiere red carpet screenings.

A real crowd pleaser is when Cartoon Network’s much loved stars take to Marina Village for a Costumed Character Parade.  Families can even snap a picture with their favorite Cartoon Network characters at the end of the parade. Kids will have the time of their lives with their favorite Cartoon Network characters all summer long at Atlantis.
